JAMES BRADEY
Founder & Director, Liquid & Larder
Over the past 15+ years, along with business partner Warren Burns, James has set up and established the Sydney based Hospitality group Liquid & Larder, which owns and operates The Gidley, Bistecca, The Rover, Alfie’s and most recently as part of The Eve Hotel Bar Julius and Lottie.
With 20+ years hospitality experience, James started out his management career in Edinburgh working for The Montpeliers Group, opening the The Opal Lounge and then Tigerlily. After several years he then moved down to London where he was fortunate enough to work for the Match Group at the now institution that is Trailer Happiness. Trailer was one of those fantastic connectors where he met so many industry connections he now calls friends, but also opened many doors for future endeavours, including the ability to explore a passion and education in Interior Architecture. During this period he worked for Shaun Clarkson ID where he helped design several bars, restaurants and hotels all over the UK.
Since returning to Australia and establishing Liquid & Larder as an industry leading, experience orientated hospitality company James’ main focus is in the design and setup to bring each unique concept to life. Creating experiences that encompass all five senses with a passion for seeing an idea form into an incredible environment.
And whilst awards were never the goal, there have been a few that have come along the way, including being named Timeout Magazines 2019 Industry Legend – a very humbling moment for James and very rewarding to be recognised for an extensive body of work.
