Douglas is Director of Tourism and Leisure at Horwath HTL New Zealand and founder of Weaving Waters. With over 25 years of international experience, he has held senior roles with Soho House, Aman Resorts, and Esalen Institute. He specialises in destination development, wellbeing strategy, and sustainable business design, supporting clients to align commercial performance with ESG outcomes. Of Ngāi Tahu descent, Douglas brings a pragmatic approach to integrating community, culture, and environmental stewardship into contemporary hospitality. He is a graduate of Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.
