Focused on meeting the needs of developers, operators and commercial clients, Dee’s ability to balance the commercial and creative has aided her reputation as a trusted design partner across Australia.

Leading the Interior Design division at the award-winning design practice, Cottee Parker, her approach has been to grow the interior design division at a national scale. Using design as a commercial strategy, Dee strongly focuses on the cost to value dynamic, buildability, and modularity. She considers the designs’ resilience to market shifts, and the best approach to responding at a human scale – the guest experience, authenticity to place, wellness and biophilia, and placemaking.

Backed by her experience delivering workplaces, residential developments, retirement living, wellness, hospitality and community projects, her approach to the hotel sector is to consider the programmatic elements of the interior, and their ability to drawn in patronage within local markets, and leverage tourism opportunities.

Over the last few years, Dee’s signature portfolio includes Spicers Guesthouse in the Hunter Valley, Brisbane’s newly renovated Amora Hotel, the Queen’s Wharf Integrated Resort Development, and the Avani Hotel (currently under construction).
