ANDREW LYMN-PENNING

Lecturer, Architecture, UniSA Creative

Andrew Lymn-Penning is a Lecturer in Architecture at Adelaide University whose research and teaching sit at the intersection of architecture, generative AI, and digital design pedagogy. His work explores how AI can support creative practice, communication, and learning without losing sight of criticality, authorship, or disciplinary judgement. He has embedded AI literacy and human collaboration across undergraduate and postgraduate architecture studios, while his broader research also examines immersive digital environments through projects such as SiteSeer. Drawing on both academic and professional practice, Andrew brings a grounded perspective to how AI is beginning to reshape design education, architectural workflows, and the future of spatial practice.
